About Us

We are part of the PHAROS Financial Group, a group of companies which draws upon a strong set of skills, experience and expertise.

We created Accordance out of the need for compliance in our own business then turned the business into it’s own company. Now the ever growing client base includes external businesses who are significant brands and organisations, they are financial services and credit licensees who are seeking to partner with experts.

The services Accordance offers is a dealer-to-dealer arrangement where clients are offered the same services developed, tested and delivered to our aligned and owned entities. Our internal clients are often our harshest critics, ensuring we work with constant focus and drive for improvement, innovation and to exceed expectations in the areas of compliance, advice and customer service.

Meet The Team

The Accordance team has a vast range of backgrounds bringing with them skills, training and experience to deliver commercial reality and best practice. We are accountants, actuaries, CFP’s, information technology and compliance specialists, dealership managers and financial advisers.

Evan has a strong background in banking and finance within both the legal and banking sectors. Evan supports the compliance team by overseeing the training and education requirements of advisers, as well as general reporting and administration.

When he is not at work, you will find Evan running, at the beach, and spending time with his Border Collie.

I am very passionate about helping our representatives stay on the right track and ensuring that they are operating compliantly. People come to me for guidance around building compliance requirements into internal procedures.

This is because I have:

– A great eye for detail
– Natural talent for assisting on improving internal procedures
– The reputation for being very approachable in the capacity as an auditor,
– An ability to help people to understand compliance requirements by explaining them in simple terms

Over the 19 years I have worked in financial services and banking I have built skills and experience working with advice practices in the areas of operations management , procedure and policy writing, mentoring and training, proofing documents, tolerance, XPlan development and client service management.

I really enjoy showing my clients that being compliant doesn’t have to be difficult or seen in a negative view.

When I am not helping authorised reps to stay on track I am with my family, my 3 kitty cats and listening to LOUD music or dreaming about visiting my birthplace in Scotland.
